Moreover, for specific purposes, monitoring software should be used to make things more efficient or just to protect sensitive information and not to spy on employees. Organizations must keep the balance in mind regarding employees’ rights and trust, as they are increasingly working from home and bringing their personal lives to work.

Companies can depict the remote working style as just as efficient as the office style when they employ it as part of a larger plan to improve responsibility and productivity. The goal is for the information gathered by monitoring equipment to be used in a positive way to make the workplace healthier, not as a way to punish people.
